Teacher cuts on Teacher Appreciation Week. How sad!

This Tuesday was National Teacher Appreciation Day at Taylor and around the nation. In this era of tightening budgets and increased class sizes, our teachers are feeling the pinch. Like many Americans our teaching staff has seen their paycheck reduced over the past three years. In spite of this, they show up every day with a smile on their faces and hope in their hearts.

We will be losing several valued teachers and staff members at the end of this school year and I would like to take this opportunity to recognize them.
  • Retirement: Elaine Isaacs and Karen Hall
  • Budget Cuts: Melissa Navarro (to Truman MS), Teresa Hargis (to Truman MS), Angela Aragon, and Susan Hewatt-Chadwick.
  • Other Reasons: Kaiti Riter (going to the Philippines with the Peace Corps)
